Currently the co-host of CT Style on ABC 8 in Connecticut, following Good Morning America, Ryan Kristafer grew up listening to his Dad host a morning drive radio show, and wanted to follow in his footsteps when he was younger. So, at 18, he started DJing backyard BBQs and church events to help put himself through college. With a little practice and a lot of luck, he eventually worked his way up to be one of the resident DJs at the 2nd largest casino in the U.S.

The talent manager there said to him one day, “Hey… you’d be a great host, you’re a natural on the mic!” He politely laughed it off and thought to himself: “haaa… do people even do that for a living?” But, he was getting bored and burnt out from DJing, so he figured he’d give it a try.
Come to find out, getting bear hugs from elderly women on-stage as they win $25,000 in cash, isn’t such a bad gig. Since then, he’s had the great opportunity to emcee exciting events for brands like: Macy’s, General Mills, Brookstone, Lowe’s, Mohegan Sun, Head & Shoulders, The VFW, Yoplait and The Guinness World Records.
I am a CT guy. I grew up in Cromwell (still there actually) and graduated from CCSU. I joined the CT Style family as Teresa’s co-host in January, 2015. Besides filling her coffee every morning, I also emcee exciting events across the country. It’s been fun giving away over $1 Million on-stage at Mohegan Sun throughout the years, and having a nationally-syndicated feature, “Man In The Stands” on NBC Sports Radio.
In a nut shell… your grandma would love me.
